Panasonic Lumix ZS20 announced

Compact digital cameras are dime a dozen, and it has been rather hard picking out a clear winner from the many models in a particular product category all these years, and even with Panasonic’s most recent release, the Panasonic Lumix ZS20, life has not gotten any easier either. Still, the show must go on, and here is what the Panasonic Lumix ZS20 has on offer for those looking for a pocket-sized digital camera to capture all those tender moments in life. ...

Panasonic shrinks WiGig for cellphones, sets our hearts a flutter

Tri-band WiGig in a laptop? Yawnsville. Now, put that 60GHz connection in a high-end smartphone and we're all ears (and sweaty palms). Panasonic is the first out the gate with a 802.11ad compatible chip for mobile devices and, despite its head-spinning multi-gigabit speeds, the company's creation draws less that 1W of power. It'll be sometime before WiGig makes its way into your Droid or iPhone, but when it does you can look forward to wirelessly ...
Panasonic Rolls Out 3 New “Xacti” Camcorders

They have dropped the Xacti brand name, but the three new camcorders Panasonic (which bought Xacti maker Sanyo in 2009) announced [JP] today are essentially Xactis. All models feature full HD resolution and will be released in Japan on June 25. The HX-WA10 (pictured above) is the only model that’s waterproof (up to 3 meters). It comes with a 16MP sensor, a stereo mic, mini HDMI/USB/SDXC interfaces, essentially no internal memory (80MB), and a 2.6-inch LCD (price: $550). The HX-DC15 (pictured above) is basically the same camera ...

The G3 will be 25% smaller than the G2, it features ...

Nascar Fans To Get World’s Largest TV

That’s right, Panasonic has teamed up with the Charlotte Motor speedway. The new TV will weigh in at 165,000 pounds, and cover an area of 16,000 square feet. Now for the bad news, the TV will only be running 720p. Although when it’s that big of a TV I doubt anyone will notice.. [via Geeky Gadgets ]

Avatar 3D Blu-ray Launch To Be Exclusive To Panasonic TV Buyers

Big Avatar fan? Bought a 3D-capable TV just so you could watch it again in all its glory? Well, you might want to sit down. Panasonic and 20th Century Fox have arrived at a deal whereby the upcoming 3D Blu-ray version of the film will only be sold to people buying new Panasonic displays. It’d be for a limited time, of course, but no dates were mentioned. A spokesman for Panasonic said they were also trying to “do the right thing” and let people who had recently ...

Time for a next-gen spin on the age-old debate of whether a blackboard or whiteboard is better in the classroom? I pose that question because Panasonic's interactive multitouch whiteboard comes days after we saw Sharp's LCD blackboard. Who feels old?
Measuring 77-inches, Panasonic's UB-T880 whiteboard can be used by three people at once (making it "multitouch"), though it's worth pointing out that one will be holding the electronic pen, with the other ...
Cheap 3D camcorder lets everyone make their own Avatar sequel

3D may be the hottest topic in home video, but unless you have $21k to splurge on Panasonic's fancy new camcorder, your 3D home video making options are going to be pretty limited. Now, however, Taiwan's Aiptek has announced their own 3D camcorder that's less than one percent of the Panasonic's price, and even half the price of the budget offering from DXG. I've heard of price erosion, but that's ridiculous.
Of course the Aiptek ...
