Well, you have to hand it to the strategy team over at Zipcar . Arguably the largest on-demand car-sharing network, Zipcar went public last year and not long after saw its market cap cross $1 billion . It’s since fallen back, and with collaborative consumption and the market for car-sharing heating up, the big players have to make moves. Zipcar has since forged a partnership with Ford, making it the largest provider of cars for Zipcar’s University program , and, in December, the company took a controlling stake in Spain’s largest car-sharing network, Avancar . Today finds Zipcar making another strategic move to get its mitts in fellow car-sharing companies, again with a focus on universities, whose students are among the most eager adopters of car-sharing models. What do I mean? The company today announced that it is a lead investor in the $13.7 million series A financing of Wheelz , a junior, university-focused version of itself. LG rumored to debut Google TV at CES 2012 After news of Logitech killing the Revue and Sony developing its own Smart TV platform, it looks like Google TV could have a savior in the works in the form of Korean electronics manufacturer, LG. According to a report from Bloomberg – their sources claimed that Google and LG might be revealing a Google TV-powered TV at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January next year. With LG being the world’s ...
The New Google TV: 4 Demo Videos Including Looks At The New Apps
October 28, 2011 – 11:39 am | No Comment
Google just announced the major refresh of Google TV. It adds a bunch of new features to the platform including Android Market and a TV & Movies. I’m not entirely sure this new coat of paint will help sell the house per se, but it will certainly make the current owners happy. The update will slowly hit existing Google TV units starting with the Sony models on Sunday with the Logitech boxes getting it shortly thereafter. As with most mass roll outs, you might be waiting in line awhile ...

Click and drag in style with Logitech’s G300 gaming mouse Logitech has introduced its new G300 mouse, coming to the US and Europe next month. The biggest selling point seems to be that the mouse is ambidextrous, meaning that as the buttons are laid out symmetrically, you can use it with either your right or your left hand. You can also store up to three profiles on the mouse itself (no software needed), and you can even configure the lighting colors to match up to a certain ...

It’s official: Google TV flopped really hard Did you hear the one about Google TV being a complete dismal disappointment and utter failure? No? Well, Logitech, the product's biggest supporter since launch says that returns for its Google TV Revue box are through the roof. Looks like Google TV is doing way worse than Apple's AppleTV hobby.
Logitech’s New iPod Speakers Are Battery-Powered, Peanut-Shaped

Logitech’s New iPod Speakers Are Battery-Powered, Peanut-Shaped There isn’t too much to explain here. This is Logitech’s new iPod/iPhone dock and speakers — the main thing you need to know is that it has a rechargeable internal battery so you can take it to the beach and whatnot. It’ll go all day long — and all night strong. As long as that’s not more than eight hours. Comes with remote. It probably sounds good too, but why bother with speakers when you can just wear your headphones and sing really loud? Read more ...
Logitech Harmony 650 remote review

Logitech Harmony 650 remote review Fewer products are more appropriately named than the Logitech Harmony series of smart remotes. They do wonderful things to take home entertainment systems, comprised of a disparate jumble of mismatched devices, and turn them into peaceful entities that work together for the betterment of your living room -- you half expect doves with olive branches in their mouths to fly out of the box when you get one. Alas, there are neither birds nor ...
AirMouse comes straight out of Minority Report
January 30, 2010 – 10:32 pm | No Comment
AirMouse comes straight out of Minority Report Clearly, someone at Deanmark really enjoys Minority Report, or else they would have never come up with this glove interface that Tom Cruise was using in the opening sequence. The sensors are on the thumb, index finger, and middle finger, for crying out loud! Steven Spielberg might sue. This AirMouse (not to be confused with the one that Logitech makes) is completely wireless, uses and optical laser, and can run for a week on a single charge. It is also very ...
