First Look: Tom Bihn Ristretto bag for iPad
June 26, 2010 – 1:06 pm | No Comment

I blame Steve Sande for my newest iPad-related purchase. Well, there’s a lot of things to blame Steve for, but it was his reviews of the Tom Bihn Western Flyer and Checkpoint Flyer that had me checking out the company he bought the bags from last year. Tom Bihn is based in Seattle and has the distinction of being among those rare companies that still makes its products in the U.S. using mostly U.S.-produced materials. Only a few components are sourced from overseas, but those parts are fully disclosed. After having my iPad and accessories bounce around a larger bag for a few weeks, I caved and placed…

HTC May Buy Palm to Fight Apple [Rumor] Moribund Palm is up for sale, says Bloomberg. Who is in the short list of potential bidders? It's not Google, but close enough: HTC. And it makes total sense, because buying Palm could save HTC's ass in the Apple lawsuit. Bloomberg says that Lenovo may want to buy it too. However, the most interesting bidder is HTC by far. The reason: HTC may find in Palm the patent portfolio it needs to battle ...
HTC buying Palm = Awesome
April 10, 2010 – 6:49 am | No Comment
HTC buying Palm = Awesome While we scratched our heads about a rumored Palm acquisition by Lenovo, but the idea that HTC could snap Palm resonates much more with us, and would likely result in awesomeness. Palm's problem is that the Palm Pre is good, but not great (anymore). It's too slow, too small and although the Pre is cool, its desirability has fallen quickly because new competing hardware keeps coming practically every month ...

February 23, 2010 – 6:02 pm | No Comment
HTC Desire and Hero2 could be coming to the US after all When we first showed you HTC's hot new Android phones, we were understandably bummed that HTC didn't have a North American carrier lined up — and didn't seem to have any plans to get one, either. Apparently that could all have changed, as a rumor put forward by the dependable folks at the Boy Genius Report reveals that sources close to the site say the HTC Desire could go to AT&T, while the ...

HTC Droid Eris Cell Phone Review–An Odd Package
February 3, 2010 – 3:08 am | No Comment
HTC Droid Eris Cell Phone Review–An Odd Package So far, my experience with HTC has been generally positive, with a few small problems here and there. Ironically, this will also be what I think of the HTC Droid Eris cell phone–mostly positive, with a few small problems here and there. The HTC Droid Eris cell phone uses the Google Android (Cupcake) operating system in tandem with a Qualcomm® MSM7600™ processor and two hundred eighty eight megs of RAM. It has a 3.2 inch touch screen, email ...
