Fanmade ‘Golden Axe Myth’ available to download, for now

A fan-created Golden Axe game called "Golden Axe Myth" is now available for download on PC. In development since 2007, Myth has been designed as prequel to the arcade/Genesis game, and features all-new graphics, music and levels, and even a downloadable artbook and soundtrack. And it all looks great! So why is it that we're feeling so sad on this otherwise happy occasion?
It's basically a total bummer to be reminded of Sega's takedown of Streets of ...
LG licenses ARM Cortex-A15 and Mali-T604 graphics, starts scheming up mobile processors of its own

Some of LG's brightest attractions at the moment are the dual-core Optimus 2X and Optimus 3D smartphones and similarly equipped Optimus Pad tablet. The only problem with them? Those multicore chips are produced by NVIDIA for the 2X and Pad and Texas Instruments for the Optimus 3D, leaving LG a clear step behind its arch-nemesis Samsung who is producing its own dual-core system-on-chip. So what else could LG possibly ...
Japanese hardware sales, April 11 – April 17: Moneybasket edition

As you may have guessed by our previous Easterly Japanese sales charts, we're a big fan of this particular holiday. In fact, our own enthusiasm has led us to one of our most promising business ideas to date -- Easter stockpiling. Think about it: We all love Cadbury Creme Eggs. We all love Peeps. We all love the confectionary mainstays associated with the holiday itself, but on literally every other calendar day of the year, we don't think to purchase and consume them....
Mega64 goes behind the scenes, deeper into the awkwardness

If you were sent into inescapable spirals of discomfort while watching one of Mega64's videos released this year, the video after the jump may very well kill you. It's a behind-the-scenes look at their take on Limbo, Portal 2, Shenmue -- and, of course, the horrified crowds they left in their wake.
YTLive web app lets you watch YouTube Live broadcasts on your iOS device

YouTube entered the live video streaming market with the launch of its YouTube Live service earlier this month. The high-profile video site is competing against similar live stream services such as Ustream and Justin.tv. Unlike its competitors, YouTube Live uses only Flash technology to deliver its live stream. As a result, iOS owners are unable to watch these live feeds on their mobile devices.
Coming to the rescue is a web app, YTLive, which lets you copy the URL ...
Kinect and Wii Remote hack makes Tetris much more difficult

Ever wondered how you could go about making Tetris even more of a difficult, punishing experience? Obviously, turning the speed up to infinity isn't enough to stump the world's most proficient players -- but YouTuber user Keysosaurus' Kinect augmented reality Kinect hack might do the trick.
Nokia and Microsoft sign definitive agreement, bring Windows Phone handsets closer to realization

Microsoft and Nokia's industry-altering announcement of a strategic alliance back in February has today been bolstered with the signing of a definitive agreement between the two companies. In announcing the inking of the paperwork, the Microkia crew point out that they're already hard at work developing "a portfolio" of Nokia Windows Phone devices, which will be shipping "in volume" in 2012, but there's still a twinkling hope that they can get something out on the market in 2011. ...
Review: T-Mobile G2x (Optimus 2X)

Short version: Perhaps the most powerful phone on the market, the G2x is certainly impressive technically, but physically it’s uninspiring, and a lack of compelling HD and gaming content compatible with Android makes its greatest assets (large screen and powerful processor) underwhelming. And where’s my Gingerbread? Features: Dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor and 512MB of RAM 4″ 800
Rage preview: Doomed down

Despite sporting the enhancements of id Tech 5, Rage seemed to be lagging behind at Bethesda's BFG 2011 media event last week. Its generic, post-apocalyptic wasteland setting has become a familiar one in recent years, but it's the simplistic and overly linear shootfest within that's the most dated element of the game. Nonetheless, the team at id Software seems to be aware that a glossy throwback shooter isn't going to cut it in today's over-saturated FPS market and has challenged itself ...
