Trying to do the whole thing in under a month all by myself wasn’t the smartest idea.” As part of Shankar’s recreation of Command & Conquer, it included buildings, terrain, combat, tiberium harvesting and regrowth, in addition to the ability to sell and repair buildings. Apple, It’s Time To Block iOS 5 Beta Users From Reviewing Apps “ Yeah, each new iOS announcement is very… bittersweet. We love it because it means new APIs for us to build on, bug fixes for things we’ve had to work around, and, ideally, more people buying the platform we build for. But then we spend months getting slammed by bad reviews, all written by people who just don’t understand: until the release goes gold, beta-specific bugs are not our fault . ” — A developer who asked to not be named. Last night, our sister site TUAW ...

Judge shoots down Personal Audio’s second Apple infringement case Talk about swift justice. It's been less than a week since we reported on Personal Audio's second infringement suit against Apple, and an East Texas judge has already put an end to the litigation. In a statement regarding the company's complaint that the iPad 2, iPhone 4, and latest generation iPods infringed on the same patents put forth in its initial suit, Judge Ron Clark said the $8 million already awarded to the plaintiff should do just fine. ...

TRTLBot TRTLStand iPhone Stand Review–Simple And Useful We’ve seen a lot of different iPhone stands come and go, but probably one of the better ones I’ve tackled of late is both simple and useful, and goes by the name of the TRTLStand from the folks at TRTLBot. The TRTLStand is a simple, basic affair that serves as both a bumper case to keep the Antennagate issues on most iPhone 4s at bay, but comes with a special extra feature: a rear-mounted kickstand that drops back with a flick of a fingertip over a notch that holds it in ...

At the moment, it will remain tethered with the iPad 2 being left out of the loop, but for folks ...

Lightinthebox Wireless Computer Remote Review–Useful But Extraneous The folks out at Lightinthebox sent over one of their wireless computer remotes, and while this does work well, and indeed offers some very valuable if somewhat specific services, it’s going to be hard pressed to compete against one old friend in particular. The Lightinthebox Wireless Computer Remote is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, a remote control with a USB dongle that allows you to remotely control your PC, especially its media center functions. Just plug in ...
