Square Enix files European trademark for ‘Voice Fantasy’

Square Enix has filed a European trademark for something called "Voice Fantasy" -- a trademark which, as Siliconera was quick to point out, applies to computer or video game software and not sound recordings. That completely ruins our first guess that it was some kind of a cappella Final Fantasy album.
Our next guess (and that's all we have, considering we have no information to go on other than the title) is that this ...
Analysis: U.S. pre-orders for Wi-Fi iPad likely to begin this week

If you're ready to buy that Wi-Fi iPad, then get your credit card out of your wallet and start practicing your fastest clicking and typing techniques. According to a rumor on iPad / iPhone site AppAdvice, a "reliable source" has told them that Apple will begin pre-sales of the Wi-Fi iPad as soon as Thursday, February 25.
As noted on 9 to 5 Mac, Apple traditionally begins selling new products like iPhones or iPods on Fridays. The closest Friday ...
New Google Mobile App adds Voice Search support for iPod

Google has submitted a new version of its Google Mobile App for the iPhone platform ( iTunes link ), and the fresh app now finally boasts built-in support for Voice Search on iPod touch devices (2G or newer). Update: we have 3 commenters saying there still is no Voice Search on their iPod touch devices to be found, even after updating. We’re looking into it. Version 0.4.5.3281 also brings improved stability when using Voice Search on ‘restrictive networks’ and is also said to make Search by Voice ...
Couple marries at 5th Avenue Apple Store on Valentine’s Day
We've seen robberies at Apple Stores before, we've seen kids rapping and we've even seen death threats, but I don't know that I've ever heard of a wedding in an Apple Store. That's what newlyweds Ya Ting Li and Joshua Li decided to do at midnight in the Fifth Avenue Apple Store on Valentine's Day -- right there among the iMacs and Macbooks, they got their wedding officiated by a turtlenecked Steve Jobs stand-in.
The ...
Cruise line stocks Mac Book Pros other Apple products

Normally, when you go on a cruise you’re forced to be without the ability to purchase your highly sought after electronics. But now, a cruise line called Celebrity Cruises is opening what they are called iLounges on all of their ships.
These iLounges will have kiosks to browse the web or check your email but will also feature a full Apple retail store so you can purchase all sorts of their products. Additionally, they will have a sort of Genius Bar that ...
Windows Phone 7 Series: Everything Is Different Now [Windows Phone 7]
![Windows Phone 7 Series: Everything Is Different Now [Windows Phone 7]](http://itoptech.com/wp-content/themes/iTopTech/scripts/timthumb.php?src=http://itoptech.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/466658178esphon7.jpg.jpg&w=80&h=80&zc=1&q=100)
It's astounding that until this moment, three years after the iPhone, the biggest software company in the world basically didn't compete in mobile. Windows Phone 7 Series is more than the Microsoft smartphone we've been waiting for. Everything's different now.
Today, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Microsoft is publicly previewing Windows Phone 7 for the first time. The brand new, ...
Macworld 2010: Guy Kawasaki comes by the booth

Few former Apple employees embody the six-color spirit more than evangelist & web entrepreneur Guy Kawasaki; we were pleased that he took a few minutes to talk with us about his experience of Macworld Expo and his relationship to modern-day Apple, Inc. (Hint: He's not holding his breath for that free iPad to show up in the mail.)
Of course, Guy's day job is keeping him well up to speed on Apple news, as the Alltop aggregation ...
Macworld 2010: Hands-on with the 4iThumbs keyboard for iPhone

I stopped by the 4iThumbs booth to check out their product that would purportedly increase my (admittedly dismal) typing speed on the iPhone/iPod touch. It consists of a plastic overlay that puts small ridges between the letters of the standard iPhone keyboard, available in both portrait and landscape formats. The product comes with some tabs that you affix to the top and bottom of the device, and you can then slip the plastic overlay on and off. You can touch through ...
Motorola USBw 200 WiMAX adapter docking station

For those that like the USBw 200 WiMAX dongle from Motorola might also love the docking station for this WiMAX adapter.
Granted, it may be a bit bulky, but it does double the 3db gain that the adapter provides, and “effectively give you the same performance as a standalone desktop WiMAX unit”. There isn’t any word on the price, but it should be available sometime in Q2 of this year.

Lion’s Pride for the iPhone and iPod Touch

Once again, there is another free game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that I missed reporting on. First it was Valet Hero, now Lion’s Pride.
Lion’s Pride has nothing to do with that Siegfried and Roy Father of the Pride CG show that last only a handful of episodes on NBC. In Lion’s Pride, the player takes control of a pride of lions as they stalk their land and ambush prey.
It only costs $0.99 to download, so ...
