HTC EVO 4G for Sprint Review

Let's clear the air right away: The Evo 4G isn't the second coming. It's not the iPhone slayer. It might not even be the best Android phone available to date. But it is a solid phone with amazing hardware running the consumer-friendly HTC Sense Android release. That's a good thing.

Skype app finally delivers on 3G voice calling

There's good news and a little bit (just a little bit) of bad news. Good news first: the iPhone Skype app has been updated to allow for calls using AT&T's 3G data network.
AT&T's restrictions on cell data usage have evolved over time. Recently, download data caps have been eased, from 10 MB to 20 MB. And since October 2009, VoIP apps have been allowed to use AT&T's data network to place calls.
The elephant in the airwaves, however, has ...
Skype for iPhone now runs over 3G

Well pass the lord and praise the ammunition: Skype for iPhone now works over 3G, allowing you to make Skype calls – presumably long distance – without using your regular minutes. According to the latest update you can “Call using your 3G connection. Skype-to-Skype calls on 3G are free until at least end of August 2010, after which there will be a small monthly fee (operator charges for data will still apply).” This extra fee sounds a little rough if you ask me. It’s not like Skype ...

Not too long ago pictures of the new iPhone made their way onto the Internet. Things taht were evident were a new form factor, front facing camera and a seemingly higher resolution screen. Well, a site by the name of superapple.cz who claim they have ...
Boggle for iPad and Might & Magic HK out now, Star Wars Tower Defense coming soon

Here are a few games to try out over the holiday weekend. Boggle for iPad has been released by EA. I got to play the game at an event last week, and while the core functionality isn't much different than that of Bookworm or its many clones, the bright, full iPad graphics are impressive. Outside of the simple Boggle gameplay, there are a few other modes to check out as well, including time-based challenges, multiplayer game types, ...
AT&T prepping MobileProtect insurance program for iPhone?

Shots of some docs over on BGR have us believing that AT&T is on the cusp of launching a program called "MobileProtect," but don't be fooled by the fancy name -- this is basically an Asurion-operated handset insurance plan just like any other, the only real difference being that it's for the iPhone and offered directly by the carrier. Interestingly, it seems that you'll buy the protection through the App Store of all things, automatically billing the credit card that you've ...
