HTC Desire Now Available From US Cellular For $199.95 With 2-Year Contract

There is certainly no drought of Android powered devices on the market with most all of them featuring a touchscreen in one form or another. Even better, just about every carrier in the United States carries at least one hand set powered by the platform.
Today, in fact, US Cellular has announced that the HTC Desire is now available for $199.95 with a 2-year contract – just as we had told you it would be earlier this month. The HTC Desire is certainly a capable Android powered device with a 3.7-inch Super LCD display, a 1GHz processor, 576MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, up to 32GB of storage via the microSDHC slot, Bluetooth, WiFi, an accelerometer, GPS and a 1400 mAh battery.
Of course, when compared to a device like the HTC EVO 4G for Sprint or Motorola Droid X for Verizon, one may be quick to point ou tthat the HTC Desire features a smaller screen but retains similar specs.
