Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Cell Phone Review–Big Power, Big Package
So today, I’m bringing you a new and interesting cell phone (hey, don’t I always?) that’s going to bring along a whole lot of exciting features and gadgets besides. Today we’re talking about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, a Google Android phone that can’t help but pack them in.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is a slider-style cell phone with conference call, speakerphone, Bluetooth connectivity as well as 802.11g, the Android OS (with all the joy that implies, like access to the Android Marketplace) and a gig of memory, mobile email, mobile web, GPS, mobile blogging software, both RealVideo and RealAudio, an eight megapixel camera with face detection, picture stabilizer, and geotagging capability. You also get an alarm clock, calendar, calculator, MP3 player, and a battery that yields ten hours of talk time on a single charge.
You can probably see why I’m impressed by this phone. The spec sheet alone is enough to blow your mind wide open. And the controls aren’t half bad, either–most any time a phone runs Android, it’s a pretty safe bet that the phone will handle nicely. There’s a whole lot to like here and not too much to say against it, in fact–about the only bad thing you can say about it is that it’s a bit on the hefty side. Folks with small hands will have the devil’s own time with it.
And despite this, it’s not hard at all to recommend the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, a phone that packs a whole lot of punch in a handy, easy to use package.
The Good
Great options
Android-augmented ease of use
Incredible battery life
The Bad
A fairly hefty model, tough for smaller hands to handle
