For starters, Shankar’s attempt was a self-mandated undertaking in order to improve his coding skills, where he gave himself a one month window to rebuild the game in the browser, and had to comb through the original game’s files in order to obtain all the right sprites, sounds and specs. As Apple slowly but surely loosens the reigns on what can and can’t go into App Store, more and more apps are showing some promising and incredibly useful features that were previously not allowed. The latest of such apps is SlingPlayer which you might already know has been available in the App Store for some time now.
