Remember the classic RTS known as Command & Conquer? Well, an enterprising coder, Aditya Ravi Shankar, actually recreated the strategy game using nothing but HTML5, where it runs on 69k of Javascript. Why did he set out on such an adventure? For starters, Shankar’s attempt was a self-mandated undertaking in order to improve his coding skills, where he gave himself a one month window to rebuild the game in the browser, and had to comb through the original game’s files in order to obtain all the right sprites, sounds and specs. One of the biggest gripes users have about the iPhone and iPad is the fact that it has no front facing camera. If they were to have a front facing camera it would allow users to video chat, making the devices much more highly sought after.

Well, the latest iPhone/iPad SDK has just hit and it actually hints not only at a front facing camera, but also at a camera flash. My guess is that Apple is planning the implement the front facing camera/flash into the next generation iPhone and then into the second generation iPad.

I mean honestly, video chatting on those 2 devices would be awesome and make the future seem much closer.
